Eligibility Criteria for Danish Government Scholarship
To be eligible for the Danish Government Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- You are a non-EU/EEA citizen.
- You are enrolling in one of the specified Master’s programs in Sønderborg with a program starting in September.
Required Documents
To be considered for the Danish Government Scholarship, you need to ensure that the following documents are included in your application:
- Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diplomas in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian, which must include grades and units/credits for each course.
- Course descriptions for the courses listed on your transcripts.
- Proof of English language proficiency.
Please note that all these documents must be uploaded to your online application. Documents sent by email will not be accepted.
Deadline
The application deadline for non-EU/EEA citizens seeking a Master’s program and the Danish Government Scholarship is February 1. Ensure that your application is submitted by this date to be considered for this valuable scholarship opportunity.
How to apply?
To get into the Danish Government Scholarship program, you have to use the online application system called DANS. Here are the times when you can apply:
- From January 1st to March 1st if you want to start in September.
- From July 1st to October 15th if you plan to start in February.
Keep in mind that not all programs accept students twice a year.

If you are eligible to receive the Danish State Grant, you cannot be considered for the Danish Government Scholarship.
