Studying in the UK’s universities is every student’s dream. Now Masters and PhD students can get a chance to study as exchange students in a UK based university even if they are enrolled in a university in Pakistan.
The British Council in Pakistan and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has recently launched a joint programme Pak-UK Education Gateway, which aims to enhance partnership between the higher education sectors of Pakistan and the UK.
This programme will support the ambitions set by the HEC in Vision 2025, the document charting out targets for the upcoming years: increase gross HE enrolment by 15 per cent, PhD faculty by 40 per cent, the number of universities to 300 and a total enrolment to 7.1 million.
How does it work?
The British Council and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan have invited full proposals from UK and Pakistani universities to partner for this program.
UK and Pakistani universities will work together to develop higher education linkages between UK and Pakistan.
This partnership provides flexible grants to UK higher education providers (HEPs) and Pakistani universities to design and deliver academically rigorous short-term mobility opportunities in Pakistan and the UK for MS and PhD students from their respective institutions.
The proposal should address the Applicant Guideline document and Budget spreadsheet being shared separately.
How to apply for this program?
HEC has already joined hands with UK’s side.
The process is then really simple.
Its only your professor who needs to apply now with complete details. The concerned department/University will have to apply for the program. Students do not have to apply directly. If accepted, then you will go to UK with in this year for exchange.
(Tip: Please ask you professor / Head of department to apply for the program so you can study on exchange program.)
Deadline: 31st January, 2022
