MEXT Japan Scholarships at the Asian Pacific University 2023

The applications are open to apply for the MEXT APU Japan Scholarships 2023. The APU University Scholarship in Japan is a Fully Funded Scholarship in 2023. All international students can apply for the Bachelors, Masters and PhD scholarships at APU university Japan. 

There are two types of MEXT Scholarships.

1. MEXT Embassy Recommendation Scholarship
2. MEXT University Recommended (UR) Scholarship

This one specifically is a MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship.

What is MEXT (UR) Scholarship?

MEXT Stands for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) which offers Scholarships in 2023 in Japanese Universities.

The MEXT Scholarship is divided into 3 forms:

• Bachelor Students: Applicants who have completed 12 years of school education in countries other than Japan.
• Master’s course: Applicants who have completed 16 years of school education in countries other than Japan.
• Doctoral Course: Applicants who have completed 18 years of school education in countries other than Japan.

MEXT (UR) APU University Financial Coverage

MEXT Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Scholarship will cover all the expenses. It is completely a Fully Funded Scholarship for international students.

• Full Admission Fee.
• 100% of Tuition (covered by the APU Tuition Reduction Scholarship)
• 144,000 JPY per month for living expenses (amount subject to change)
• Economy class Air travel between the home country and APU at the beginning and end of the program.

Eligibility Criteria for the APU University Japan Scholarship

• The Scholarship is open to all international students.
• Intend to study abroad in Japan from overseas.
• Be a national of a MEXT designated country
• Be born on or after April 2, 1988
• have achieved a GPA of at least 2.30 on a 3.00 scale at their most recent university.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Applicants Must meet anyone the English language Requirements.

English Proficiency test score is equivalent to B2 or above on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale (e.g. TOEFL iBT 72 or above, IELTS 5.5 or above).

OR

Those students whose language institute was in English can Submit English Proficiency Certificate from their University & they are exempted from Language Test.

The last date to apply for the MEXT APU University Japan Scholarships 2023 is 16th November 2022

How to Apply for the MEXT APU Japan Scholarship

Applications for the 2023 April and September semesters will open from September 1, 2022. Make sure you prepare the required documents before that.

4. The Application submission is online for the APU Scholarship.
5. Submit the APU application by November 16, 2022 (for September 2023 Enrollment).
6. The final scholarship award results are decided by MEXT.
